When the summit between Russia Turkey and Iran occured in July 2022 it should have sent alarm bells to the rest of the world.
2,500 years ago the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel wrote that in the ‘last days’ of history, Russia Turkey and Iran will form a military alliance to attack Israel from the north.” Bible scholars refer to this end of times conflict, as the ‘Gog and Magog War. It is described in described in Ezekiel 38–39.”
A week before, the U.S. President Joe Biden was leaving the Middle East after a visit that focused on the informal Israeli-Sunni Arab alliance in the region. A Week later Russian President Vladimir Putin boarded a plane to Iran and was in the process of forming a very different alliance. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey joined the summit in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The three regimes are not friends of the West even though Turkey is currently still part of NATO.
In the past two decades, Russia and Iran have become close allies. In 1995, the Russian Ministry for Atomic Energy signed an agreement with Iran to finish the Bushehr nuclear power plant. Since then, the two nations have strengthened their economic and military ties. Russia is one of the few world powers that consistently defended the existence of Iran’s nuclear program.
Today, both nations freely work together to prop up Syrian President, Bashar Assad’s regime. They have established a military presence in Syria where they have coordinated military operations to suppress opposition and carved the nation into spheres of influence. Despite thousands of years of recorded history in which there’s no record of such Russian-Iranian cooperation.
Russia, Iran, and Turkey – now reside in Syria. They have military forces camped on Israel’s border. And not just any border – Israel’s northern border. Ezekiel said the Gog of Magog invasion force will come from the north (Ezekiel 38:15; Ezekiel 39:2). So now we have three of the nations in Gog’s invading force perched on Israel’s northern border.
‘Peace and security” in the middle East according to Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei in the past has always meant the destruction of Israel.
The Bible foretold this exact scenario in Ezekiel 38-39. Never before have the military forces of these three nations, Russia Turkey and Iran been on Israel’s northern border at the same time. And never in the history of the world, have the three formed an alliance. At least that is, until now…
“Turkey is another interesting member of this military alliance. Since the restoration of Israel in 1948, those who study bible prophecy have struggled to figure out how Turkey could be part of an alliance against Israel. Especially as, Turkey was the first Muslim majority country to officially recognize the state of Israel in 1949.
However, in May 2010, Turkey and Russia signed a series of agreements enhancing their energy ties, including an agreement to build Turkey’s first nuclear power plant. And in recent years, Turkey’s domestic politics – historically secular in nature – have become heavily influenced by Islam. The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has consolidated power in Turkey. Ataturk’s secular Turkish Republic is now dead and its secular government, gone. In its place, Erdogan is calling for a third Caliphate with himself at the helm as the Khalifa.
Turkey this year has been ranked as having the largest army in the middle East, larger than Israel, ranked 5th.
The relationship between Vladimir Putin and Erdogan is strong and growing. All that’s left to take place is a clear break between Turkey and NATO, permanently moving Turkey into Russia’s sphere of influence. It’s a case of watch this space.
Not surprisingly, the subject of Russia Turkey and Iran forming this unholy alliance has been trending on Twitter.
